Are You Blessed With Night Owlism?
"A night owl or evening person is a person who tends to stay up until late at night. Usually, people who are night owls stay awake past midnight and extreme night owls may stay awake until just before or after dawn. Night owls tend to feel most energetic just before they go to sleep at night." - Wikipedia
The silence of night, what a beautiful sound.
I've been a night owl for most of my life, it started around grammar school watching Yo! MTV Raps late on Friday nights. On the weekends, Dock June would come over my house to play video games, listen to Hip-hop, and watch whatever movie we rented from Blockbuster (VHS). Everything was going well until 11pm hit. I would look over and see June's head nodding trying to fight sleep, the next thing I heard was snoring. This happened often, but that's the reality, not everyone can do what us nocturnals can do.
When I'm up late, I'm amazed how peaceful it can be outside. You're not bombarded with the hustle and bustle of life, everything slows down. During the day, I'm a zombie, no energy at all. It takes me an hour to fully wake up in the morning. I don't see how some people are so peppy in the morning, it's annoying.
Writing this blog, making beats, thinking, planning my next move in life seem to emerge at night. That's why Batman is one of my favorite characters. I love being a Night Owl and wouldn't have it any other way.

I am definitely a night owl. I tend to be more productive when everybody else is sleeping. I find that there are fewer demands when the world is sleeping.
ReplyDeleteExcellent post!
Thanks for commenting.
DeleteGreat blog man.
ReplyDeleteI'm an introvert and night owl by nature.
I read somewhere that intelligent people prefer to stay up late; while very successful people like to get up early.
